ARE specializes in reconnecting people with the awe and wonder of nature and in taking groups out to explore the recreation meccas of Southern Utah, Southern Nevada and Northwestern Arizona.
RECREATION GAMES & ACTIVITIES
If it can be found in a P.E. teacher's equipment room, ARE's likely got it (or will get it). We've got recreation therapy team and field games for all ages, which includes kickball, wiffleball, disc golf, flag football, jump roping, foursquare, slacklining, volleyball, dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Kick the Can, tag, relays, etc. And yes, we provide the necessary equipment and gear; from a volleyball net and a baseball diamond in a bag, to disc golf baskets and slacklines.

ARE gets frequent requests for custom experiences that emphasize expressive therapies, like music, poetry, art, dance, mindfulness, etc. From youth groups creating expressive poetry & raps to therapeutic Zumba classes, ARE can tailor expressive groups for your unique needs.

ARE helps people, especially those recovering from addiction, rediscover greater authenticity & connection, and therefore meaning, through Adventure-, Recreation-, & Experiential-based therapies & excursions
It’s important to note that ARE provides much more than just fun, entertainment & sightseeing. Each outing is very intentional; pre-designed with theoretical & evidence-based frameworks that foster ‘meaningful learning experiences,' to optimize & memorialize therapeutic introspection, group cohesion, & positive behavioral change.
ARE's experiential therapists are licensed & credentialed in Counseling (LADC-NV & LASUDC-UT), Recreation Therapy (CTRS), & Wilderness First Response (WFR). In short, ARE services are clinical & insurance billable.
